Bluebell Walk 22.04.2023

On Saturday, 22 April, a select group of ITI Wessex members, plus spouses, friends and the dog, Tilly, met at the Daisy Tea Garden near Brockenuhurst. As she  had done in previous years, Katie Santos organised a “bluebell foray” into the Setley Woods area, a stone’s throw from where we met up. Although we were slightly early in the year, we were nevertheless treated to a fine display of mainly English bluebells, with some Spanish interlopers! The lesser celandine, however, were out in full force. This pretty, yellow wild flower is widely considered to be an invasive weed! Our foray into the woods was followed by a convivial lunch at the Tea Garden. Super day, super company! Thanks, Katie! (George du Pré)
